The conference will provide an opportunity for participants of both the private and public sectors to meet and promote their research and R&D activities in a field of common interest

Open to international participation, this seminar lies within a French-Nordic framework and
the organization committee is grateful, for their active support, to :

- The French-Norwegian Foundation  FFN/FNS
- L’Association Franco-suédoise pour la Recherche
AFSR
-
L’Association Franco-finlandaise pour la  Recherche Scientifique et Technique AFFRST
-
The French Embassies in Denmark, in Iceland and in Sweden

The seminar aims at:

  • Stimulating closer collaborations between private and public research institutions.

  • Initiating cooperation projects, especially in the R&D sector, towards applications.

Encouragment to international cooperation

This seminar will provide opportunities to present tools for supporting bi- and multilateral partnerships, such as the FNS for R&D projects of commercial and/
or industrial nature,  the Aurora Programme for fundamental research as well as the AFFRST and AFSR activities. At a time where the 7th EU's Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development has just been presented in Brussels, the seminar could lead to further establishment of collaborations as part of european projects. The first call for proposals of the 7th EU's Framework Programme is expected at the end of 2005 or early in 2006.

Format

Apart from plenary sessions consisting in oral communications and panel discussions, we would like to provide participants with the possibility of presenting  their work in the form of posters and flash presentations. Breaks will be included in the programme in order to give participants the possibility for discussions.
