A growing number of digital tools, such as psychological support apps and chatbots, claim to offer therapeutic assistance accessible to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This development, however, raises numerous questions. Can these devices truly be considered effective forms of therapy? Do they not risk diminishing the essential human dimension of the patient-therapist relationship? While some see them as a way to broaden access to care and improve patient monitoring, others denounce a potential dehumanization of the therapeutic process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, the question arises: does artificial intelligence represent a beneficial advancement for mental therapies, or a threat to the quality of patient care?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-247476f06b85dd702378e8bdec605cb5 wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>First part: A discussion with professionals in the field<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ga\u00ebl Dias<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ga\u00ebl Dias is a Full Professor at the University of Caen Normandy (France) and an Associate Professor at Munster Technological University (Ireland). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As co-director of the GREYC Research Laboratory (CNRS), he specializes in natural language processing and multimodal machine learning applied to mental health. His research focuses on digital phenotyping and modelling mental disorders using linguistic and behavioral data. He leads the interdisciplinary MENTAL.AI@CaeSAR project, investigating AI\u2019s impact on psychiatric diagnosis and monitoring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With over 170 international publications, he develops computational methods to advance the understanding of the cognitive and emotional mechanisms underlying mental health pathologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rapha\u00ebl Terrisse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rapha\u00ebl Terrisse is a psychiatrist at CHU Brest and focuses on issues related to psychiatric research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His work and research also focus on educational innovation and the transformation of medical practices, particularly through the use of artificial intelligence in the training of healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Moderator : Dr. Helene Amundsen Nissen-Lie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Helene Amundsen Nissen-Lie is a Norwegian psychologist and professor of clinical psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo. She is also a trained psychoanalyst and member of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her scholarly work focuses on psychotherapy process and outcome research, with a particular emphasis on therapist development, relational factors, and mechanisms of change across therapeutic methods, such as psychoanalytic\/psychodynamic, emotion focused, MBT, and integrative psychotherapies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Nissen-Lie is interested in diverse topics on clinical psychology and the current zeitgeist, in particular the use of artificial intelligence in psychotherapy as viewed from a psychanalytic and existential stance.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-b316feed799540c6eae2e11360c7a6c8 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Second part: Screening of the documentary <em>On the Adamant<\/em> by Nicolas Philibert<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Adamant is a completely unique day centre floating on the Seine in the heart of Paris. It welcomes adults suffering from mental health issues and provides them with treatment and art therapy. Its unique wooden structure eliminates all forms of institutionalisation and creates an open space where people feel comfortable and want to return.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"475\" height=\"617\" src=\"https:\/\/www.france.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/images-1-475x617.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25579\" style=\"width:319px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This warm and empathetic documentary gives us an intimate look at the nurses, psychiatrists, educators and patients at the Adamant.
