The exhibition, derived from the comic strip «Le Monde sans fin,» provides a captivating insight into the encounter between Jean-Marc Jancovici<\/a> and Christophe Blain<\/a>, exploring their engaged dialogue on the crucial themes of energy and climate change. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It playfully examines subjects that concern us all, such as energy transition, while addressing economic, ecological, and social challenges and proposing concrete solutions in the fields of non-carbon energies, food, transportation, and urban planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition, in the spirit of the bestselling album «Le Monde sans fin<\/a>,» stands out with its humorous approach while encouraging deep reflection. It raises the delicate question of the necessity to continue unrestrained growth. It’s worth noting that the comic strip enjoyed resounding success in France, ranking as the best-selling book in 2022 with over 800,000 copies sold and has been translated into numerous languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The<\/strong> vernissage will take place on February 7, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Institut Fran\u00e7ais de Norv\u00e8ge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening will start with an introduction by climate and comic strip specialists:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maja Janmyr<\/a><\/strong>, Professor at the Faculty of Law, UiO<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Author of the comic book \u00abCardboard Camp<\/a>\u00bb, she will talk about the powerful use of comics to address sensitive and important issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anne Fouilloux<\/a><\/strong>, Senior Research Engineer at Simula Research<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And will conclude with a French buffet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christophe Blain<\/a> – Author – Script – Drawing – Colors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christophe Blain has been honoured twice with the prestigious Best Album Award at the Angoul\u00eame Festival, recognizing his exceptional talent. The first award was given in 2002 for the first volume of «Isaac le pirate,» while the second followed in 2013 for the second volume of «Quai d’Orsay.» His work «Quai d’Orsay, chroniques diplomatiques» (Dargaud) immerses the reader in the experiences of Abel Lanzac within the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs during Dominique de Villepin’s era.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jean-Marc Jancovici<\/a> – Script<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jean-Marc Jancovici, co-founder of Carbone 4, a consulting firm specialised in these issues, also serves as the president of the think tank The Shift Project. Furthermore, he is a teacher at Mines ParisTech, a member of the High Council for the Climate, as well as speaker. He has written and co-written several works, including «L’Avenir climatique, quel temps ferons-nous?» (Points), «Dormez tranquille jusqu’en 2100» (Odile Jacob), and «C’est maintenant ! 3 ans pour sauver le monde» (Seuil). He graduated from the \u00c9cole Polytechnique and the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des T\u00e9l\u00e9communications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
