On May 9th our Club Science will gather again to discover Pr Frédéric Lagarce research on nanomedicine and cancer. We hope to see you there!

It has been over 50 years since researchers first had the idea of using nanomedicine in cancer treatement. These nanomedicines are very small therapeutic objects (about one thousandth the width of a hair) and can be used to target tumors and avoid side effects of anticancer drugs. They have been developed extensively in research labs, funded by billions of dollars. But until today there are still very few of these drugs available: the translation from lab to market is a real challenge.

Prof. Frederic Lagarce from the faculty of health sciences at the University of Angers has worked in this field for over 15 years. He will discuss during this conference the key points which need to be considered to make nanomedicine a safe and efficient drug especially for oncology.

Rendez-vous on May, Thursday 9th, 18:00, at the Institut français for a new Club Science conference in English! Right after the conference there will be French wine and food to share.

The event is free of charge. Registration (below) is mandatory.
