Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are prominent fields in the research agenda for both France and Norway. Through their academic excellence, their state-of-the-art laboratories and innovative private sector, these countries are among the most advanced countries on these fields of research.
Due to this mutual interest, Institut Français, in cooperation with the Norwegian Open AI Lab, NTNU and Research Council of Norway will seize the opportunity of the Nordic Probabilistic Artificial Intelligence School (ProbAI) taking place in Trondheim from June 3rd to 7th to organise a French/Norwegian PhD workshop and meeting day on June 2nd.
During this specific day, doctoral students from France and Norway will have the opportunity to present their work orally and/or as a poster and, furthermore, discuss potential collaborations between France and Norway.
This unique moment of exchanges will also be a chance to learn more about the specific support mechanisms for French Norwegian cooperation as well as the many mobility possibilities for young researchers.
Registration for this specific day is subject to the participation in the ProbAI Summer School (website).
Applications for the ProbAI Summer School are open until March 31 April 15 on this link.
PhD students from France interested in taking part in this French Norwegian Day (additionally to the ProbAI) can apply for scholarship funded by the Institut Français and Research Council of Norway to cover part of the travel costs and participation fee for all the week (500 euros).
