How about spending a few weeks in France, discovering its beautiful regions, develop your skills in French, and deepening your knowledge in science or gastronomy in an international environment? You might even be selected for one of our French+ scholarships.
What is the French+ Program?
French+ refers to summer programs entirely taught in English and designed for international students.
Each summer school lasts between 2 and 4 weeks and combines French language courses, visits to research centers, and cultural activities.
By taking part in one of our summer schools, you will have the opportunity to:
- Discover some of the most beautiful regions of France: Brittany, Normandy, Burgundy–Franche-Comté, Occitanie, or Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes
- Acquire or improve your French language skills
- Deepen your knowledge in science or gastronomy
- Explore France’s cultural and historical heritage
- Share this experience with other international students from around the world
- Earn additional ECTS credits (depending on the program)
When and where will the French+ summer schools take place? What will the main themes be?
The French+ summer schools will be held in FLE centers (French as a Foreign Language teaching centers). Depending on the program you choose, accommodation will be provided either in a university residence or with a host family.

Who can apply and how?
- Any young person aged 18 or older interested in scientific fields, sustainability issues, or gastronomy
- Any English‑speaking student (B2 level required), with or without prior knowledge of French
Applications are submitted online directly through the websites of our partner FLE centers: Accents/Université Savoie Mont Blanc (Chambéry), Accent français (Montpellier), Ciel Bretagne (Brest), Université Marie & Louis Pasteur/CLA (Besançon) et French in Normandy/Ecole Fauchon (Rouen)

How to apply for our French+Sciences scholarships?
The Embassy of France in Norway will award up to 10 French+ scholarships to the best candidates for the 2026 edition. These scholarships cover all expenses: transportation, accommodation, cultural activities, tuition hours.
[EXTENDED DEADLINE] The call for applications is open until 17 April 2026 (11:59 a.m.), and results will be announced by late April/early May 2026.
