From 25 to 28 August 2026, the Institut français de Norvège supports the initiative of New Nordic Films: French Focus. This programme is organised as part of the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund.
Developed in partnership with New Nordic Films, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC) and Unifrance, French Focus aims to create new opportunities for dialogue, exchange and co-production between French and Nordic film professionals.
Building bridges between French and Nordic film industries
Through its involvement in French Focus, the Institut français de Norvège supports the development of closer ties between creative communities in France and the Nordic countries, encouraging professional encounters, knowledge-sharing and the emergence of new collaborative projects.
The programme will include a dedicated discussion on co-production opportunities, funding mechanisms and creative partnerships between France and the Nordic region. Industry experts will share their experiences through case studies and practical insights, highlighting the artistic and financial opportunities offered by international collaboration.
