The call for applications for the PHC Aurora program is open until September 23, 2026.
The Scientific Division of the French Institute in Norway is pleased to announce the launch of the call for applications for the PHC Aurora 2027 Program.
Aurora is the Franco-Norwegian Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC). It is implemented in Norway by the Research Council of Norway, and in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Space (MESRE).
The objective of this program is to foster scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between laboratories in both countries by promoting new collaborations, the participation of young researchers and doctoral students, and the development of collaborations within the European framework.
All scientific fields are covered by this program, including the humanities and social sciences.
Calls for applications for this program are issued annually.
Key dates:
- Deadline for joint submission of applications: September 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
- Announcement of results on the Campus France platform: December 2026
- Notification of funding amounts via email and project start date: March 2027
Only applications jointly submitted by partner researchers to the program’s governing bodies in their respective countries will be considered eligible. Norwegian researchers must verify this with their partner. The Norwegian party must submit its application on the Norwegian Research Council website by following the link below. The French part applies through Campus France only.
